We live in rapidly changing, complex, and confusing days. At times, it can be bewildering to know what to do. Should I spend, or save? Should I take this new job or keep the one I already have? Should I relocate or remain where I am? Should I accept the promotion or continue in the position where I have been enjoying success? And what about my family? How do I address the challenges I am facing in my marriage or with my children? What do I do about the problems surfacing in my church? How do I help my friend who is in the midst of a crisis? And how do I find time to undertake that project I have been putting off for so long? SO many issues that need to be sorted out!
For unbelievers, these problems wait perpetually for them to solve on their own. But for the believer, we have a Guide and a Counselor who delights in guiding us. Just as God led His people through hazardous obstacles and across dangerous terrain, so He can navigate your life and leadership through the landmine fields and parched deserts you must occasionally traverse. Even while you sleep, God is fully alert to what you are facing and what must be done about it. Like a gentle shepherd, He will lead you to your desired destination.
So trust Him today. Listen to what He is saying. Take Him by the hand and keep in step with Him.
